Kade Moss
Bingham High School, 140 lbs.

School Classification: 5A

Kade Moss

Kade is a talented kid with drive that has taken him a long way in his wrestling career.  He won his fourth state title in 2010, beating every opponent in the tournament by technical fall until the finals, where he destroyed American Fork's Scott Newman 17-6.  This followed a strong runner-up finish at the Reno Tournament of Champions.  This year, he also won the Rocky Mountain Rumble, beating Delta stud Derek Peterson in the finals, and the Layton Invitational, where he beat the Box Elder standout Koleton Hardy in the finals.  It's also very important to note that he was on the 5A All-Star team four times.  This summer, he was a Greco-Roman and freestyle champion at the USA Wrestling Junior Western Regional Championships (only he and Carson Kuhn won it in both styles there) and finished fourth in Greco at the USA Wrestling Junior Nationals in Fargo.  As a junior, he beat Viewmont's Josh Smoot in the state finals 7-0, but the real match for him was the one leading to the finals, where he beat the talented Derek Malan of Weber 3-1.  (That loss was one of only two Malan suffered during the season.)  In summer 2009, he was one of only five wrestlers to win the championship in both freestyle and Greco-Roman at the USA Wrestling Junior Western Regional Championships, and finished with a bronze at USA Wrestling Junior National Championships in Greco-Roman out in Fargo.  As a sophomore, he won a state title by beating Davis' Zak Baker in the finals with a 5-1 decision.  This came after beating Fremont's Trae Bennet and Brighton's Connor Meadows, both with sound decisions.  He finished third in Greco-Roman at the FILA Cadet Nationals in 2008, as well as a sixth-place finish in Greco at the Junior Western Regionals.  (He won that tournament in 2007.)  He came out on top of the 2008 Rocky Mountain Rumble, beating Wasatch's Trevor Sweat in the finals.  He won a state title as a freshman, beating Weber's Bracken Nipko in the finals, 3-2, after beating Viewmont's Mike Winger 7-2 (who was the one who put Alta's Carson Kuhn into the consolation bracket). In 2006, he was the runner-up in Greco-Roman at the USA Wrestling Cadet National Championships in Fargo.  He is rock solid and has the mileage on the mat to prove it, even including two junior-high state championships, including in 2004, where he placed ahead of names like Fremont's Matthew Finger, Box Elder's Koleton Hardy and Payson's Brock Brown.

2010 State Champion (135 lbs.).  2009 State Champion (130 lbs.).  2008 State Champion (119 lbs.).  2007 State Champion as a freshman (103 lbs.).  Career

Interscholastic Record: 142-14. 2009–2010 Record: 40-2.  2008–2009 Record: 32-2.  2007–2008 Record: 35-6.  2006–2007 Record: 35-4.
