Barraclough Finishes Fifth at NCAA Championships PHILADELPHIA – Utah Valley's Terrell Barraclough finished in fifth place at the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships at the Wells Fargo Center. After securing a spot on the podium on Friday he finished his run on Saturday with his third win of the season over Hunter Garvin of Stanford. "Today was a great day for Utah Valley University Wrestling! Terrell's fifth place, All-American finish proves that you can win at a small school. We built our schedule for him (Terrell) to win in March, and our staff worked tirelessly to prepare him for every situation he would face. Terrell trusted the process all year, which paid off for him this weekend. He will forever be cemented in our program's history, and we're so proud of him. Go Wolverines!" said UVU head coach Adam Hall. Barraclough's first match came against Big 12 Champion and No. 2 seed Peyton Hall (West Virginia). The two met in February in an electric bout at Layton High School that came down to the final seconds. Today, the two fought to a scoreless first period before UVU's sixth All-American took a 1-0 lead with an escape. The first came back in November during UVU's season-opening dual, and the second in the consolation rounds at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. Today was no different, with the two battling to a scoreless draw in the first period. Barraclough broke through in the second period with the bouts only point, which came from an escape with 1:25 left. Garvin continued trying to score but was unable brake through the rest of the way. Barraclough finishes one of the best seasons in Utah Valley history with a 32-4 record and 14-3 against Big 12 foes. The Kaysville, Utah, native piled up ten ranked wins during the regular season and stacked five Top 10 wins and four Top 5 victories.
