Barraclough No. 4 in NCAA Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA released its first coaches' panel rankings ahead of the 2025 NCAA Championships in March. Utah Valley had two represented in the rankings with 165-pounder Terrell Barraclough coming in at No. 4, and Haiden Drury was ranked No. 17.

Barraclough enters this weekend with a 17-1 overall record and is 8-0 in duals. He has won eight straight matches since suffering his only loss of the season. His impressive NCAA resume includes nine wins over ranked foes this season. The UVU redshirt senior was second highest in the Big 12 behind West Virginia's Peyton Hall (3rd).

Drury is currently 15-4 this season, including a victory over No. 5 Kai Orine of NC State during the dual with the Wolfpack back in November. He earned his second-ranked victory over the season with an 11-2 major decision over Nash Singleton (Oregon State) during the dual in December.

The coaches' rankings are determined by a vote of 16 coaches in each weight class, with two head coaches from each of the eight conferences. For ranking purposes, coaches may only consider a wrestler that has been designated as a starter at a respective weight class. Wrestlers must have eight Division I matches in the weight class to be considered, with at least one within the last 30 days.

The coaches' ranking is one of several criteria that will be evaluated by the NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee during the at-large selection and seeding process along with head-to-head competition, quality wins, Ratings Percentage Index (RPI), conference tournament placement, results versus common opponents and win percentage.

The NCAA Championships are scheduled for Mar. 20-22 at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia.
