Sanderson
definitely deserves to be named the best in Utah,
as well as the nation. His performance is always
strong, no matter what level. He was one of only three Utahns to place in both freestyle and Greco-Roman at the
USA Wrestling Junior National Championships in Fargo,
North Dakota, last summer, taking home a silver (Greco)
and a 3rd-place bronze (freestyle). He went
undefeated in high school, winning the Reno Tournament of
Champions, and took the 3A state
title the past two years without really breaking a sweat,
then went on to win the National High School Coaches
Association Senior Nationals.
2005 State Champion (140 lbs.),
2004 State Champion (135 lbs.), 2003 3rd in State, 2002
State Champion (112 lbs.).
