The numbers: Mellen is a big reason the Lions are one of the teams that should challenge for the Region 6 and Class 4A wrestling crown. He went 10-0 at the Millard Ironman tournament and has a 17-0 record on the season. His most impressive outing was at last week's Rocky Mountain Rumble, where he defeated defending state champion Nathaniel Holt of Provo 10-7 in the championship match.
