Bee Wrestlers Get Good Start to 2004–2005 Season
The Box Elder Bees have a duel match
tonight with Olympus, with JV at 5:15 p.m. and varsity at
7 p.m. as the 2004-2005 wrestling season gets underway.
Box Elder wrestlers brought home three
individual titles, and placed in 11 of 14 weight
divisions, as they finished second in the Layton
Invitational Wrestling Tournament. The Bees finished with
251 points, while Wasatch High School won the title with
297.5 points.
Individual titles were won by Casey Fromm
at 145 pounds; John Johnson at 152 pounds; and Brett Boyce
at 189 pounds.
Caleb Isom was second at 112; Jason Hancey
was second at 130; and Tyson Peterson was second at 171.
Thirds were claimed by Riley Yeates at 135 pounds and
Kevin Taylor at 160 pounds, while Rhett Robinson was
fourth at 275 pounds.
In fifth place was Tyler Rackham at 119;
and Jacob Hardy was sixth at 140 pounds.
In the Alta Duels, the JV Bees went 5-0
with five wrestlers going undefeated. They were Cody
Tolman at 119 pounds; Jaron Jensen at 145; Colby Kearl at
160; Skyler Rackham at 152; and Colby Williams at 140
pounds.
