BOUNTIFUL — Davis County was well represented at the state freestyle wrestling tournament.

Mitch Rasmussen won the Freestyle state, Cadet division 145-pound weight class. Danner Kjar also captured the Freestyle state, Junior division, the 152-pound weight class.

The Smoot family came away with two medals. Josh Smoot took second place at Freestyle state junior division, 140-pound weight class. Korbin Smoot captured 5th place in the Schoolboy division at 112 lb. weight class.

Mat Rasmussen took 2nd at Freestyle division at 135.

Kanchi Abe captured 5th at Freestyle state, Schoolboy 105. Daniel Batista took 8th at Greco-Roman state, Cadet 125 pound weight class.

Josh Child also participated at Cadet 119.
