Uintah Returns with Three Placers and One Champion
A few of Uintah’s wrestling team members
headed to Denver, Colo., to compete at the Rocky Mountain
Nationals over the weekend. Three of the team placed and
Candace Workman was the champion in the girls’ division
for her weight class.
The other placers were Colby Christensen
(second), Taylor Merkley (fifth) and Rusty Farnsworth
(sixth).
“It was a good weekend,” said Head Coach
Gregg Stensgard. “I’m proud of the way the team competed.
Now we’ll see if some of it carries over to the high
school nationals this weekend.”
