Mustangs Still a Wrestling Force
The Mountain Crest wrestling program has
stepped back into the spotlight. The two-time defending 4A
state champions proved they are still a force to be dealt
with after their second-place finish at the 60-team Rocky
Mountain Rumble last weekend.
The Mustangs had three individual
champions in Jerrett Morrill (125), Jake Morrill (130) and
Ethen Lofthouse (160) as well as several other wrestlers
with solid performances.
"We are just starting to get into form,"
said Lofthouse of the team. "I think that at the beginning
of the year, we weren't wrestling as well as we could
have, but now, we are a team to look out for."
With the big three leading the way, and
Raider Lofthouse, who is an all-star caliber wrestler, the
MustangFBs may be hoisting a third consecutive trophy next
month.
