The numbers: The Cavemen are emerging as one of Region 4's top wrestling squads, and Hortman has certainly become one of the league's premier wrestlers. His record this season is an impressive 22-1, and he's won 20 of those matches by fall. The transfer from Texas finished sixth in the Texas state tournament last season and also finished sixth as a freshman. He was injured as a sophomore and did not compete for more than a year. At the American Fork Duals held earlier this month, Hortman was honored with the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler Award. He also carries a GPA of 3.8.
