Wrestling: South Jordan Athlete Wins Title

South Jordan's Sean Keatiing, 9, won the Midget Division (80 pounds) at the USA Wrestling Salt Lake Slam folkstyle wrestling tournament at the Salt Palace last week. Keating pinned every opponent but one and won that match by technical fall.

Four other Utahns made it to the finals: Riverton's Mason Christiansen (6 years old), West Jordan's Justyn Ribald (6), Lindon's Derek Fisher (8) and Sandy's Zayne Sayers (12). Taking third place were Draper's Tayler Johnson (10), Saratoga Springs' Derek Spachman (11) and West Jordan's Jake Ribald (13). Sandy's Spencer Maxwell (6) took fourth in his division.
