UVSC lost to UC Davis 21-15 in a dual meet
on the road last Saturday.
The Wolverines led 15-12 with freshman
Flint Ray having an opportunity to clinch the win in the
133-pound class. But against UC Davis senior Francisco
Manriquez, he let Manriquez get escape and takedown
points, and then Ray was pinned.
Ben Kjar continued his great season by
notching another win in the 125-pound class. He came back
from an 0-1 score to earn two takedowns and riding time
for the victory for the 4-3 victory.
Other Wolverines earning wins included
seniors Sam Allen (149-pounds) and Marc Fenwick (174), and
freshman Zach Williams (197).
