FLINT RAY, Roy: The senior wrestler pinned two of his four opponents at the Layton Invitational over the weekend to win the 119-pound division. He won his other two matches by a combined score of 31-0.

Ray won the 4A state title at 112 pounds last year after finishing with a 30-2 record.

The senior missed Roy's first two dual meets this year because he was an extra in Disney's upcoming made for TV movie "Going to the Mat." It airs March 19.

Ray is the student body vice president at Roy and maintains a 3.96 GPA. He took first in the World of Wrestling Champions in Reno in April, and then finished second in the Rocky Mountain Nationals in Denver in the spring.
