Wrestling: Wasatch Wins Layton Invitational
Two nights after downing Viewmont 32-28 in
a dual meet, the Wasatch Wasps maintained their dominance
of Utah wrestling, winning the Layton Invitational with
214 points and three individual champions. Viewmont (193
1/2 ) and Brighton (184 1/2 ) were second and third,
respectively.
Jake Salazar, Ethan Smith and Carson Brown
won titles for the Wasps, while the other winners were:
Mountain Crest's Jarrett Morrill, Springville's Kolby
Bradley, Cyprus' Matt Brown, Elko's Mitch Schroeder,
Brighton's K.C. Nate and Talan Knox, Hillcrest's Eric
McCallister, Box Elder's Rhett Robinson and Lone Peak's
Sterling Coons.
